Overall I’m coping ok, well most of the time but sometimes I am genuinely struggling some days more than others. I’m missing so many things I would do, people I’d see and all those little things that make the big differences. And I think one thing I have realised is that the little things, like the being able to hug someone and have company, we take for granted and my goal when we are out of lockdown is to be more appreciative and stop taking everything for granted.

I think the worst part for me is being in a relationship with my boyfriend and being unable to see him, hug him, play Xbox and not being able to make all those amazing memories that we create.

Another thing, I can’t do is be with my dance academy as I miss them all so much as they’re like a whole other family to me and sure it’s ok over zoom but it can be a bit hard to keep up.

On top of that, I only got put into the right education for me a year ago in January 2020 so to have that be really up and down has not been helpful. At least we have things like Zoom and FaceTime to see everyone you know and love.

At the end of the day, just remember that good things come to those who wait so if you wait just a little longer then good things will come your way. It’s always about seeing the positive side and keeping that positive mindset as clear and bright as possible!

And doing that has helped me and my mental health a lot. So just know, you CAN do this!

Many Thanks,
OJ.
