An article by our well being Ambassador Giuliana Wheater and her video!

Mental health is our new pandemic. People everywhere are living under enormous stress & fear. I’ve been so aware of how much that is intensified when you yourself or a family member is neurodiverse. So easily life can be one overwhelming & that dreaded “Red Zone” of emotions ever hovering & reedy for take off.

The mindful exercises that I am sharing this week, if used regularly, are very effective in regulating those red zone behaviours on a proactive, rather than reactive, level. However if you suddenly feel yourself hitting that total overload, you dem do these exercises to ground, centre & breathe, with almost immediate effect.

These exercises are also very empowering because they help lead to self awareness, self regulation and ultimately self management. Mindful breathing recharges our 37.2 trillion cells, bringing focus, perspective & clear thinking, as well as surging our brains with serotonin & dopamine.

When you work on the hands you are also working on the brain! I hope you enjoy this week’s short video https://youtu.be/psvwz-OQEsQ

Please feel free to download the enclosed diagrams to share on a friends and family basis or within your schools, organisations or therapy practices.

Take care everyone!

See you next week!

Lots of love ,

Giuliana
