🎉 5 Years of X-Kart 🎉
Today marks 5 years since XKART was born. What started as a little side project during Covid to keep me busy has grown into an entire motorsport ecosystem — all built around one mission: developing drivers and creating opportunities.
In that time, we’ve:
Grown to over 30 drivers competing nationally.
🚗 Helped 8 drivers progress into racing cars (with even more on the way).
💡 Built new projects that will level us up even further in 2026.
It all began at a small indoor track (@teamkartingrochdale) with no roadmap and no idea what we were doing. I look back at old photos and think, “What were we playing at?” But growth comes from trying, failing, learning — and doing it all again, better.
The real difference? The people. I’ve been lucky to build a senior team who are stronger than me in their fields:
✨ Mick & Janine — for pushing us digitally and marketing our vision.
✨ Claire — for driver management and business development.
✨ Billy, Louis & Harry — the heartbeat of kart prep, coaching and team management, who somehow put up with my whacky ideas and turn them into reality.
✨ To all the ex & current drivers we now employ and the ones on a pathway to a future career with us – not just developing on track but off it too!
X-Kart has also been the launchpad for so much more:
📺 A TV show on Amazon & BBC.
🏆 A national karting championship.
🤝 A driver development programme.
📈 A digital marketing agency.
⚡ And some exciting secret projects for later this year.
We’ve partnered with incredible brands — from @forcemotorsport engines, @ontrackmarketing.uk, Samsung, Thrustmaster, @satatools_uk, @dragonenergy_uk and more. Every partnership is a reminder that motorsport is 50% performance, 50% perception — and that building something bigger than yourself is always worth it.
Some days it feels like we do too much. Other days I want to push harder. But if there’s one thing these 5 years have taught me, it’s this: growth comes from belief, resilience, and surrounding yourself with the right people.
We’re not perfect. We’re still learning. But if a little kart team born in the middle of lockdown can grow into this — imagine what the next 5 years will look like.
Here’s to the journey. Here’s to the team. And here’s to the next chapter. 💪
