AGT Performer ‘Just Jess’ Releases Christmas song

Hi all it’s Jess and I am releasing a Christmas song tomorrow. Those who know me may be thinking “hmm, Jess a Christmas song. That’s not like you at all!” No it’s not, however, I felt an important message needed to be shared in this way: We can’t all like Christmas!!!

 

We can’t all pretend either, and I know this time of year is meant to be merry and full of cheer, but I’m tired of the fake mess of peoples personalities suddenly revolving around Christmas. You have to look, dress, act, speak, and eat a certain way; there is a lot of sounds, lights, and textures that can be overwhelming especially for an autistic person like me, so I wrote a song about it.

 

There may be a little bit of influence that came from a place of hurt after a certain ex of mine almost ruined my year, after making my last Christmas amazing, then turning into a not very nice person right in front of me, but I am presenting the idea that this cold and miserable time of year is hopeless without people, but thoughtless as to what they are really feeling. At the end of the day, you’re not allowed to deep the things that are really getting you down, because “it’s not that deep – it’s Christmas!”.
