All Thing's Autism in Essex – With Aston and Anna

Autism Show – September 2024

All Things Autism in Essex returned for September with Aston and regular contributor Anna Kennedy OBE. founder of autism charity Annakennedyonline. They previewed Autism’s Got Talent which taking place on 12th October at Mermaid Theatre, Blackfriers, London. They also spoke about news within the autism commmunity.

Aston and Anna spoke to Sam Manning about a new banking app.

Aston and Anna rounded up with other bits of news etc.

Anna had this to say after the show:

“Another busy show talking ‘All things Autism in Essex ‘ with Aston.

Aston and I excited to be talking about Autism’s got Talent which is happening on October 12th at The Mermaid Theatre Blackfriars.

We would like to thank all our performers , their families , Pineapple Performing Arts and our sponsors SEND Tutoring, Orchid’ Jokers Comedy, Living Autism, The Calm Crate and Home from Homecare.

Our guest today was Sam Manning.

Sam has an autistic son, who has navigated the world of education, travel and health. When it came to operating a bank account it became very apparent that there was no easy way to access existing banking services. Sam has a background in technology and financial services, he decided to setup a business with a number if close workmates to build a new type of banking service, now known as a view only banking, that is offered by a number of banks and is available directly from his firm called Hop Macy. The website is HopeMacey.com

Many autistic people suffer from fraud, scams and are prone to making errors. Many also go into debt and become victims of crime such as money mules. A view only banking service was needed and created called Family connect.

Aston and I couldn’t resist to talk ‘All things Strictly ‘ because if our love if dance. We are looking forward to the journey for each couple , sequins and choreography.

Next month we will be feeding back about our 13th year of Autism’s got Talent. We cannot wait!!!
