Angus Baskerville Becomes New Charity Champion for Anna Kennedy Online

Angus Baskerville is thrilled to be given the opportunity to work more closely with Anna and the AKO team as a charity champion.
Having been diagnosed with Autism and ADHD at 15, having spent his first 12 years in South Africa where he struggled to fit in without a formal diagnosis, he endured intense bullying and attended 13 schools, being expelled from three.

Labelled as the “naughty child”, Angus faced a lonely and isolating path until he discovered his special interest, magic, at age 17, shortly after his diagnosis in the UK. This transformative discovery allowed him to connect with others and gain credibility with his peers for the first time in his life.
Passionate about raising autism awareness, Angus now works as a full-time professional magician, performing at high-profile events across the UK. He delivers talks to raise awareness for autism across the country, weaving in his magic.

His journey into the spotlight began in 2016 when he participated in Autism’s Got Talent, marking his debut performance in a large theatre. Since then, he has been an active supporter of Anna Kennedy Online and has advocated for the charity, entertaining at fund-raising events.

2024 was a pinnacle year with his first full run at Edinburgh Fringe with his own stage show “Naughty or Neurodiverse?”, weaving in mind-blowing magic with his personal story of triumph over adversity to educate and encourage neurodiverse families to stay positive and embrace their passion. Angus is back at the Edinburgh Fringe 2025 with his follow up show, “Hidden Powers” this August where he will be, once again, sharing his story about growing up with autism and ADHD using his magic to bring entertainment and hope to neurodiverse families.

Angus shares an empowering message that there is a light at the end of every tunnel. His favourite mantra comes from A A Milne’s Winnie the Pooh – “You are braver than you believe, you are stronger than you seem, you are smarter than you think”.
