Supporting the performers was finalist from ‘The Kids Voice’ Jessica Richardson who was blown away by all their performances and the performers spoke to Jessica about her experience singing on ITV. Austin Hughes from Anna Kennedy Online was the MC for the evening and kept the audience engaged throughout the show.
Pershy Mgadamika, the mother of performer Ethan Khumalo told us “Words can not describe how proud l am of my talented son Ethan. Not only did he mix the music himself, he also choreographed the routine for his performance for AGT. Watching him and all the acts with autism at #AGTroadshow perform tonight made me feel super proud and blessed.”
Anna Kennedy founder of Autism’s got Talent shares :
‘Autism’s Got Talent is always the highlight of my year I am so proud of my team and all the performers. Yet again an amazing show and yet again some comments from the audience ‘I didn’t expect to be entertained’ Why would you not expect to be entertained ? All of the performers are talented passionate about showcasing and showing the world just because they have a diagnosis of autism and overlapping conditions they can hold their own blow the audience away.
Autism’s got Talent was created in 2012 when I had a seed of an idea and here we are almost 6 years later showcasing performers in London, North East , Essex and next year Liverpool. The show provides a platform and great opportunity to distinguish this, and gives hope, fun, laughter and positivity. All the acts involved are in an environment where they can express themselves, make new friends and meet people from around the UK. Not only does it provide a springboard, it also boosts confidence and social skills, and new friendships for both adults and children. There are always several emotional moments throughout the day and evening of the performances and yesterday was true to form which proves Autism does have talent! ‘
