Autism’s Got Talent roadshow to visit Merseyside in 2018

Are you a singer, dancer, musician, comedian or gymnast who just happens to be on the autism spectrum?

Charity Autism Together and autism campaigner Anna Kennedy OBE have joined forces to bring the Autism’s Got Talent Roadshow, a live show celebrating the diverse talents of children and adults with autism, to Merseyside. The roadshow will be visiting Merseyside in November 2018 and event organisers are already on the lookout for the best talent the North West has to offer.

How to submit your audition video:

Organisers are calling for audition videos to be submitted by 31 May 2018.  Shortlisted acts will be asked to perform in the live show at the Floral Pavilion Theatre in New Brighton on 23rd November 2018. Audition videos no longer than 1.5 minutes can be submitted via www.autismtogether.co.uk/AGT.

All entrants must also submit a personal profile form via the website. Videos can be submitted between 1 December 2017 and 31 May 2018. Shortlisted acts will be advised by 25 June 2018.If you have questions please email Eleanor.Davies@autismtogether.co.uk or call 0151 334 7510.

Autism’s Got Talent was established by charity Anna Kennedy Online and the event has previously been held at London’s Mermaid Theatre and has also toured to the North East.

Previous events have included artists from around the world, including Croatia, Canada and the US and have also showcased former X-Factor and Britain’s Got Talent contestants and world class gymnasts.

CEO of Autism Together, Robin Bush, said, “We love Autism’s Got Talent and are so happy to be bringing this spectacular roadshow to Merseyside.  Whatever your talent, we want to hear from you.  We can’t wait to watch the audition videos and to have our own chance, in our own region, of discovering a true star.”

Autism campaigner Anna Kennedy said, “We aim to continue to build Autism’s Got Talent year by year and we are thrilled that our Autism’s Got Talent Roadshow is set to visit Merseyside next year. We want all those involved to have fun, do what they love, make friends and be themselves, and have one night which is all about them.”

Show us your Talent!

Show us your Talent!

The nation’s leading Autism talent show organised by the Anna Kennedy Online Charity and lead by its founder and UK Charity Week ambassador Anna Kennedy OBE also known as the ‘Simon Cowell’ of the autism world is currently searching for new talent. If you have a relative, child or a friend who is on the autism spectrum that has a great talent that they would like to share with others then now is the time to get in touch.

Each year there is a diverse mix of talents from across the spectrum, coming from both this country and overseas to showcase themselves. It’s not all about singing and dancing so if you think you can play an instrument, be a comedian, or perform magic, or whatever the talent you want to showcase this is your chance to show it to the world!

The show has featured in the last 6 years on Charity Today News, BBC Breakfast, RTL, London Live to name but a few and eight of the performers through the charity have a place at the world-renowned Pineapple Performing Arts School which takes place at Pineapple Dance Studios, Covent Garden. Two of the performers will be showcased on the BBC’s new programme The Recording Studio to be aired in a few months and Autism with Attitude street dance crew will be the first dance crew all diagnosed with autism to compete in Word Dance Championship in Germany in May.

Anna Kennedy OBE is always searching and creating opportunities for autistic children and adults in the world of performing Arts. Earlier this year releasing a charity album at the Hard Rock Cafe and last week a new anti bullying single that was shared over 7000 times just on Facebook.

Not only did he mix the music himself, he also choreographed the routine for his performance for AGT. Watching him and all the acts with autism at #AGTroadshow perform tonight made me feel super proud and blessed.”

Anna Kennedy founder of Autism’s got Talent shares :

‘Autism’s Got Talent is always the highlight of my year I am so proud of my team and all the performers. Yet again an amazing show and yet again some comments from the audience ‘I didn’t expect to be entertained’ Why would you not expect to be entertained ? All of the performers are talented passionate about showcasing and showing the world just because they have a diagnosis of autism and overlapping conditions they can hold their own blow the audience away.

Autism’s got Talent was created in 2012 when I had a seed of an idea and here we are almost 6 years later showcasing performers in London, North East , Essex and next year Liverpool. The show provides a platform and great opportunity to distinguish this, and gives hope, fun, laughter and positivity. All the acts involved are in an environment where they can express themselves, make new friends and meet people from around the UK. Not only does it provide a springboard, it also boosts confidence and social skills, and new friendships for both adults and children. There are always several emotional moments throughout the day and evening of the performances and yesterday was true to form which proves Autism does have talent! ‘
