Show us your Talent!

Show us your Talent!

The nation’s leading Autism talent show organised by the Anna Kennedy Online Charity and lead by its founder and UK Charity Week ambassador Anna Kennedy OBE also known as the ‘Simon Cowell’ of the autism world is currently searching for new talent. If you have a relative, child or a friend who is on the autism spectrum that has a great talent that they would like to share with others then now is the time to get in touch.

Each year there is a diverse mix of talents from across the spectrum, coming from both this country and overseas to showcase themselves. It’s not all about singing and dancing so if you think you can play an instrument, be a comedian, or perform magic, or whatever the talent you want to showcase this is your chance to show it to the world!

The show has featured in the last 6 years on Charity Today News, BBC Breakfast, RTL, London Live to name but a few and eight of the performers through the charity have a place at the world-renowned Pineapple Performing Arts School which takes place at Pineapple Dance Studios, Covent Garden. Two of the performers will be showcased on the BBC’s new programme The Recording Studio to be aired in a few months and Autism with Attitude street dance crew will be the first dance crew all diagnosed with autism to compete in Word Dance Championship in Germany in May.

Anna Kennedy OBE is always searching and creating opportunities for autistic children and adults in the world of performing Arts. Earlier this year releasing a charity album at the Hard Rock Cafe and last week a new anti bullying single that was shared over 7000 times just on Facebook.

Anna Kennedy founder of Autism’s got Talent shares :

‘Autism’s Got Talent is always the highlight of my year I am so proud of my team and all the performers. Yet again an amazing show and yet again some comments from the audience ‘I didn’t expect to be entertained’ Why would you not expect to be entertained ? All of the performers are talented passionate about showcasing and showing the world just because they have a diagnosis of autism and overlapping conditions they can hold their own blow the audience away.

Autism’s got Talent was created in 2012 when I had a seed of an idea and here we are almost 6 years later showcasing performers in London, North East , Essex and next year Liverpool. The show provides a platform and great opportunity to distinguish this, and gives hope, fun, laughter and positivity. All the acts involved are in an environment where they can express themselves, make new friends and meet people from around the UK. Not only does it provide a springboard, it also boosts confidence and social skills, and new friendships for both adults and children. There are always several emotional moments throughout the day and evening of the performances and yesterday was true to form which proves Autism does have talent! ‘
