Anna Kennedy Online charity ambassador Mr. Kieron Lee makes a memorable debut in Episode 2 of ITV’s powerful and thought-provoking series, featuring Nicola Sturgeon.

Over the past few months, Anna Kennedy Online charity ambassador Mr. Kieron Lee has been filming for ITV’s The Assembly, making his debut in Episode 2, which features Nicola Sturgeon.

The episode is available to watch now on ITVX, or viewers can tune in tonight at 10:05 PM on ITV, following I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! South Africa.

In this episode, Nicola Sturgeon is interviewed by a panel of autistic and learning-disabled interviewers, who ask honest, fearless, and uncompromising questions. The discussion covers a wide range of personal and political topics, including her separation from her husband, her least favourite politicians, her arrest, and her love life, with nothing off-limits.

Reflecting on the experience, Kieron said:

“Filming for The Assembly has been a surreal experience, and one that I will treasure for the rest of my life. It has also been a huge stepping stone for me, taking me out of my comfort zone and into completely new territory. It was also my first time travelling to London alone.”

To close Episode 2, Kieron also performed a moving duet of “Dignity” by Deacon Blue.

Speaking about that moment, he added:

“Performing for Nicola Sturgeon was an honour. Her warmth and genuineness were so admirable. However, I was also incredibly poorly, so performing was not easy. I was sick twice in the hours before filming, and when I got home, I was bedridden all week with a terrible flu.”

Kieron also shared how much it meant to be part of a programme that creates space for voices that are too often overlooked:

“Being part of a project that gives a voice to people who often feel unheard is something I strive to do in other areas of my life through music. To see that come to life on mainstream television has been truly life-changing.”

He continued:

“I am incredibly grateful to have been invited to join the cast for Series 2, and to the amazing production team who made it all happen. It truly is an exceptional piece of television, with a beautiful cast.”

At Anna Kennedy Online, we are incredibly proud of Kieron and all that he continues to achieve.

We are also delighted that Kieron will be performing at the charity’s Autism Hero Awards on 9th May 2026, and we look forward to celebrating his continued success.
