‘I have been watching the second series of ‘Patience ‘ on Channel 4. I really do like it.

What I love about the character Patience and what she does so well,  is that you watch Patience evolve in her role in her job and as an autistic individual. (Patience is played by an autistic actor )

There is no explaining, no translating, Your just watching the character and how she navigates the world and her job and the start of a possible relationship.

As a parent of 2 autistic sons, and wife to an autistic man the programme mirrors real respect, observing the character, allowing, and letting her silence whilst processing infirmation mean something.

It’s not trying to teach people how to feel about autism , it’s just letting Patience exist.
For me thats how it should be  honestly, it says everything.
If you get chance give it a watch. ‘
