We were overwhelmed to be invited to the Autism Hero Awards. It was a wonderful opportunity to take some time out, treat ourselves to a little pampering, and simply sit back and reflect on all the positive differences we help enable for local families of children with autism.
Being able to share this experience with our team (who we truly class as family) and my son Alfie – the reason for starting the charity – was an absolute delight. The majority of the time, we are organising and delivering sessions, activities, and events for everyone else, so to be able to relax and enjoy the moment was pure magic.
Being there, being part of it, and seeing everyone flourish was such a joy. It was a warm, non-judgemental, and accepting environment where everyone could simply be themselves. Thank you, Anna and team, for giving us such a fantastic night to remember. x
